Charter Schools Regulation

Charter schools are autonomous, non-profit public schools designed to provide innovative or enhanced education programs. The Charter Schools Regulation sets out the requirements that must be followed to establish and operate a charter school in Alberta, including the application process, items to be addressed in the school charter, and the renewal or termination of existing charter schools.
